Whitney Stewart
Children’s Book Author, Mindfulness Expert, Professional Speaker
Traveling the world for books!
Whitney loves to research for her books. She has dug deep into archival libraries, trekked to remote Himalayan villages, and eaten her way around the world. She has interviewed mountain climbers, peace leaders, artists, and scientists. Whitney will share her adventures with young readers and inspire them to take their own.
What Whitney hopes readers gain through her work:
Whitney wants to inspire kids to take adventures, research history, explore the arts and sciences, talk to
experts, and to understand their own heart and mind.
Whitney’s background:
She graduated from Brown University with a degree in children’s literature and linguistics. Since then, Whitney has traveled throughout the world and lived overseas — in France, Germany, India, and Japan — where she studied new languages, explored life and culture, and relished the culinary variety. She has a passion for talking to kids about the world, and for teaching them how to handle stress and difficult emotions through mindfulness and meditation.
