Whitney Stewart
Children’s Book Author, Mindfulness Expert, Professional Speaker

Traveling the world for books!
Whitney loves to do research and is energized by finding clues to unravel a mystery. She has sat for weeks in archival libraries, walked the length of New York’s Fifth Avenue, trekked to remote Himalayan villages, and searched former World War Two battlefields to understand a story. Whitney will tell your young readers about her adventures and will inspire them to take their own.
What Whitney hopes readers gain through her work:
Whitney wants to inspire kids to take adventures, research history, explore the arts and sciences, talk to
experts, and to understand their own heart and mind.
Whitney’s background:
She graduated from Brown University with a degree in children’s literature and linguistics. Since then, Whitney has traveled throughout the world and lived overseas — in France, Germany, India, and Japan — where she studied new languages, explored life and culture, and relished the culinary variety. She has a passion for talking to kids about the world, and for teaching them how to handle stress and difficult emotions through mindfulness and meditation.
