ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Whitney Stewart will travel far for a story. She’s trekked in the Himalaya with Sir Edmund Hillary and visited remote Buddhist monasteries in Nepal, Tibet, Myanmar, and Japan. She’s interviewed Nobel laureates, sat in meditation retreats, and even been a puppeteer and salad chef in France. She is the author of both fiction and nonfiction books for children, including her bestselling, Mindful Kids: 50 Mindfulness Activities for Kindness, Focus, and Calm, and her forthcoming young adult book, co-authored by her husband Hans C. Andersson MD,
Genomics: A Revolution in Health and Disease Discovery.
Whitney also collaborated with the late historian Denis Havel on FELDPOST: The War Letters of Friedrich Reiner Niemann, A German Soldier on the Eastern Front and wrote an award-winning travel series on her search to find her husband’s uncle who went missing in World War Two. When not writing or traveling, Whitney often teaches mindfulness and meditation to children and young adults.
